Desktop Support Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Desktop Support Engineer (Fresher) to join our IT team. The candidate will be responsible for providing basic technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, operating systems, and network-related issues. This role is ideal for freshers who are willing to learn and build their career in IT infrastructure and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, printers, and scanners.
  • Provide technical support for hardware and software issues.
  • Install and support Windows operating systems and basic applications.
  • Configure email accounts, Outlook, and internet connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot LAN/Wi-Fi and basic network connectivity issues.
  • Support users with password reset, software installation, and system access.
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and update support records.
  • Coordinate with senior engineers for issue escalation and resolution.
  • Ensure timely response and support to end users.

Required Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware and networking.
  • Familiarity with Windows OS installation and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of MS Office, Outlook, and antivirus software.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn and work in a team environment.

Educational Qualification:

  • Diploma / B.Tech / BCA / MCA / Graduation in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Hardware & Networking certification will be an added advantage.

Preferred Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory and remote support tools.
  • Understanding of printers and peripheral devices.
  • Knowledge of basic server and networking concepts is a plus.
